Inside the Scanner

Participants viewed learning and control videos of the virtual maze and were asked to remember the objects located in the learning videos

Outside the Scanner

• After viewing the videos, participants were placed in the maze and were asked to navigate to different objects.
• Some participants opted for a response-based (e.g. following familiar routes) while others opted for a place-based (e.g. taking shortcuts) to reach the goal objects.
